The Network Firmware update method is the easiest way to update your Sony Blu-ray player. To use this method, your Sony Blu-ray Disc player must be connected to a TV and the internet (512Kbps or faster). If you have a slower connection speed, use the USB Storage Device method instead.
To start upgrading Sony firmware by Internet , please follow the instructions :
  • Power on Sony Blu-ray player .

2- Offline Firmware Update Of Sony BDPS6700 bluray player(USB Storage )


With USB Flash drive update method ,You download the firmware update first on your PC then you put it on USB Flash disk .You will connect the USB flash drive to your Sony Blu-ray player then install the new firmware update from it .
First you must transfer Sony firmware update files to your USB stick , please follow the instructions :
  • Download the new firmware update ' UPDATE_M32R0433.zip ' file to your PC .
  • Firmware update file size is 156 MB make sure it's the same size .
  • Extract the update file from the UPDATE_M32R0433.zip file.
  • The UPDATE folder will contain four extracted files: MSB32-FW.BIN, MSB32-FW.ID, MSB32-FW_MB.BIN, and MSB32-FW_MB.ID.
  • Copy the firmware update folder to the root directory of your USB stick .


WARNING! : Don't operate, power off, or disconnect the Blu-ray Disc player from the AC power outlet until after the update is complete. Failure to follow the instructions, or an interruption in the update process, may cause the player to become unresponsive or to require repair.

  • After the progress bar reaches 100%, the Blu-ray Disc player will automatically power off and then back on again. The firmware update process is complete.
  • Remove Your USB flash disk .
  • Congratulation ! your Sony bluray player firmware now upgraded .
